Believe... Everything happens for a reason.

Strange things always seem to happen when we talk about Dhruv. Yes, once again, I am back with a post about Dhruv and his adventures – adventures that revolve around his past, his present conditions, and the beautiful future he dreams to build one fine day.

So, it was one fine morning when Dhruv found himself in an unfamiliar area that he was not aware of or had ever been to. The area looked more like the main suburbs of a city. The time was around 10-11 am, usually the part of the day when people are rushing towards work in private or public vehicles. But it didn't seem that busy when Dhruv surveyed the entire area. Somehow, he felt a connection to this area, as if he had always wanted to be here. The street was divided into two parts with trees for vehicles to move in a one-way direction. He stood in the middle of the street with the support of a tree and looked around at the people who were walking. Immediately, he got an idea of reading his book to one of the passersby.

The area had old bungalows, and Dhruv's instincts gave him a sense that he was in the streets of Jabalpur, where Radhika lived. Without wasting any more time, he approached a guy and asked if he could spare some time to listen to Dhruv's story. It was the story he always wanted everyone to read but never had many readers. He knew the reason: the editing of the story was pending for a long time. But this time, it wasn't about that. After about 2-3 minutes, he finally convinced the guy to listen to his story. The best part was he told him that if he listened, he would pay him a hundred bucks. Dhruv also added one more condition: if he got one more person to listen, he would increase the amount by another hundred. Being in sales had developed Dhruv's skill in convincing people, a skill he always had but wasn't ready to use.

The next thing that happened was Dhruv was reading his book to 3-4 people who were listening carefully. Dhruv would read a few lines and look at everyone, searching for that one face he had been waiting for all this while. Slowly, a few more people gathered around and started listening to him. Dhruv was surprised that he was able to gather around 50-60 people in a span of 20-25 minutes. People were eagerly listening to him as he began to narrate his story more than just reading. After a while, he saw her coming out of her house for some work. Dhruv tried to withdraw his eyes from her but couldn't stop himself from looking back. Her face was blank, as she wasn't expecting Dhruv to be there, and neither was Dhruv.

The crowd kept increasing as people were keen to know what happens in the story. The person whom Dhruv had convinced to listen actually kept bringing more people to listen and also forgot about the money. Some time later, a few people had realized that the girl in Dhruv's story and Radhika, who peered through the corner, could be the same. The next thing Dhruv could remember was a few cops asking him to stop reading and clear the road. Radhika had the look in her eyes that still convinced Dhruv he was a loser. Something happened, and he realized it was yet another dream. He woke up; it was 4 am in the morning. He tried to get back to the dream to tell her he is not what she thinks, but it didn't happen. He wasn't able to sleep for an hour. He kept fighting with the thoughts and the feelings that kept running through his mind. He believes that the reason behind these dreams is that the struggle is not over for Dhruv. Radhika in his dream was happy and peaceful, whereas he still fights daily to achieve his goals, to be someone whom people will be proud to look at. But the more he fights, the more he fails, and the struggle continues.

At times it becomes difficult for him as he cannot express what he is going through every day, especially when he sees Radhika in his dreams. He is fighting with his past, struggling in his present, and unable to guess what the future holds. Will he be able to make what he has always dreamt of, or will he be lost in the crowd in the same rat race, which he never wants to be a part of? The never-ending thoughts and hurting feelings continued for days for Dhruv.

One day he decided that he should do something he loves, so he came up with a random plan to do whatever comes to his mind without thinking about anything or anybody. That Sunday for him started when he went to see his friend at the airport and then decided to watch a movie, "The Exorcist Believer."

Still struggling with his thoughts, he managed to watch the entire movie, and at last, one line made him think. The line in the movie:

"I think we are born in this world with hopes and dreams and a desire to be happy. And the devil has a wish, and that is to give up."

He realized that the dream was a signal once again that the struggle is not over. Any given day he forgets he will always be reminded not to lose hope. These dreams will always tell him to give up. But he has to believe in himself and his dreams.

Good things will happen, and they do take time....

  2. Indeed, good things often take time to materialize. Whether it's personal growth, career success, fulfilling relationships or any other aspiration. They typically require effort, dedication, and patience.
It's essential to stay positive and persistent, even when progress seems slow or obstacles arise. Trusting in the journey and maintaining faith that positive outcomes will eventually come can help keep us motivated and resilient along the way.
